Visiting Cabanatuan city will not be that extra awesome if you’re not gonna go and find this little mansion also called as Edna’s CAKELAND, inside Kapitan Pepe’s Subdivision. It is famous among the locals if you’re a bit lost just ask anyone (of the Cabanatueños) for where the Cakeland is and they’ll gladly give you directions where.

You’ll know you’re already there when you see a big white house which I guess was the owner’s and long line of cars parked outside but don’t fret because, they have their own parking area across which we parked the car.

Upon entering the gate, cute miniature chefs are there to welcome you and of course the photo op wall.

As I toured and take pictures I noticed that a number of people are there having their breakfast which is a sign that it was really a go-to place for morning snacks or rather meal. So thank God, my convincing powers was effective that I lured my mom and dad to check out the place and surprised that they also serve breakfast like odds were in my favor. Hahaaa!(sounds like tadaaa)

I immediately go to their breakfast corner and look for what they offer. Interestingly, they have tapsilog, liempo/baconsilog and pastas, like Lasagna and Carbonara, while they have brewed hot/iced coffee, hot chocolate and iced tea for beverage.

Seemingly, there are so many sweets to choose from well it’s really a cake land in there. But what’s making Edna’s Cakeland famous was their Cheese Rolls (P14/pc P160/box) . Which of course I wouldn’t pass to try. A big bite and there you see the big portion of cheese inside the soft-buttery-sweet-moist bread. Nooooom! Any cheese lover would love this! A good value for money I would say because you just won’t find it anywhere in the metro.

From their signature Cheese roll, to which we ordered a box for pasalubong because you just can never stop at eating just one. They also offer different cakes (for parties or simple celebrations) to brownies, breads, and other snacks (just look at the pictures and drool).

I could go here for breakfast and merienda everyday its just that its really far, a 5-hour drive I guess from Cavite without stopover. But really, make sure to drop by this place when in Cabanatuan  for really delicious goodies also take a box or two for pasalubong. Take note they had those cute boxes for your pasalubongs and also good for giveaways or gifts.
I love this place and can’t wait to come back #whenincabanatuan for the cheese roll, and also the yema roll (that I haven’t tried out yet), iced coffee and I heard the yema roll was also a hit so I need to come back here and also to other good restaurants in Cabanatuan City which I needed a try.
